Indispensable for our presentation:

Hartwig Albiro, former theatre director of the Chemnitz Theater, is a well-versed authority on Chemnitz’s cultural infrastructure and knows exactly why the city of Chemnitz needs the title. Born in the Weimar Republic, he is a contemporary witness to all the personal experiences of division, upheaval and AUFBRÜCHE. He contributes to the discussion on the city’s history with concrete examples from the past that point to the future. For example, he was an active supporter of the 1989 reform movement, for which he opened the theatre for peaceful dialogue.
